Social Emotional Wellness

The focus of 1Vision Charter School is help learners strengthen their ability to build positive relationships, cope with challenges and regulate and share their emotions.  Helping students develop an awareness of their feeling and the feelings of others will create a culture of compassion, kindness and positivity.  Our Mindful-Based Social Emotional Program (MBSEL) includes:

  • Mindfulness Practices: Through these daily practices students will gain a greater sense of self-awareness.
    • Daily Meditation
    • Mindful Moments
    • Reflection
  • Social Emotional Learning: Through modeling, practice and guided lessons students will effectively
    • Understand and manage emotions
    • Set and achieve positive goals
    • Feel and show empathy for others
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships
    • Make responsible decisions
