Our Approach

The 1Vision Charter holistic approach to teaching and learning is designed to help students thrive within the classroom and beyond.  Our program will focus on three major pillars to foster academic success, life skills, sense of awareness, and social consciousness.

Innovation: We believe that learning should connect students to the real world. Authentic learning experiences allow students to explore, discuss, and meaningfully construct concepts and relationships in contexts that involve real-world problems and projects that are relevant to the learner. Students will engage in inquiry and project-based learning, science explorations, service projects and field experiences. These activities will develop life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration and social-awareness.

Education:  Our student-centered approach designed to meet the needs students and ensure growth. Our curriculum offers a variety of educational programs, learning experiences, instructional approaches and academic-support strategies tailored to address the distinct learning needs, interests, development and background of individual students. The 1Vision approach to learning offers the opportunity to support students by understanding how they learn best and actively engage, allowing students to take ownership of their learning and develop personal connections with their peers and teachers.

Culture: Wellness is much more than just good health and exercise. There are seven dimensions of wellness, including social and emotional, which contribute to our overall well-being and quality of life. Social and emotional wellness are important developmental tools for children. The 1Vision Inside-Out Approach, combining mindfulness and social-emotional learning, is dedicated to ensuring the social and emotional well-being and success of our students. The Inside-Out Approach includes:

  • Mindfulness Practices
  • Individual and small group counseling
  • Social Emotional Learning Practices
